Ships Fly Up is a musical project created in 2017 by Egor Fedotov,
a composer and the sole participant. The music is mainly instrumental and combines post-rock, metal, synth-wave and other genres. He has released six full-length albums and several singles.
Ships Fly Up has become one of the most well-known Russian postrock artists, and is one of 15 of the most popular bands on Yandex Music in this genre with over 70,000 monthly listeners and more than 23,000 subscribers.
The beloved tracks "You Can Change Everything" and "Apostate" have been heard hundreds of thousands of times. Several compositions have become the official musical accompaniment for a number of projects, such as Live with Tufty with the support of writer Vadim Zeland.
The sixth album "APOSTASY" is already in our reality

On May 31, 2024, the 6th album "Apostasy" was released. It was not easy to go from the beginning to today. And what should be considered this beginning? The desire to compose a new one in 2022 or the creation of SFU more than 6 years ago? All this undoubtedly influenced "Apostasy" but... Read more...

Egor has written many soundtracks for popular games. For example, he created music for a number of trailers for the game "War Robots", the number of downloads of which in the Play Market has already exceeded 100 million. One of the composer's tracks was used in the official trailer for the game "Pagan Online" from "Wargaming" (the creators of "World of Tanks"), and the track "Maelstrom" for the game "Pacific Rim: Breach Wars" became the property of the "Legendary Pictures" film company. Egor was also among the composers who wrote the soundtrack to one of the most popular Russian online games "Royal Quest".

"I have been thinking for quite a long time about creating souvenirs that would be a special addition to the atmosphere of Ships Fly Up. And so, six albums later, the idea came true in the form of special key chains and postcards."

There is a search and rescue team called Lisa Alert. This is a non-profit association of caring hearts who are looking for missing people. As I was informed, on October 15, 2024, the squad turned 14 years old, and by this date an official video was created to the music of Ships Fly Up. I am glad that SFU's creativity has participated in such a good cause. Good luck to everyone who searches and finds!

«I'm probably not mistaken if I say that the main event for composers, writers and people from other creative fields is the release of a large work, whether it's a full-length music album or an action-packed novel. For me, the release day is probably the most significant of the year. Creating is something worth living for. Sooner or later, matter will turn to dust, but art will live forever, since its main connoisseurs are demons and angels. Time does not rule over them, and therefore over the works that they contemplate from ashen plains and bright mountains, because they can look through the thickness of the worlds to the rebellious creators of the Earth.»

Egor participated in the creation of the soundtrack to the MMORPG "Royal Quest" and wrote over 15 songs for this game. In an interview with the developers, he talked about the process of writing music, how he embarked on the path of a composer, failures at first, the first rock band, and much more.
